I am raising money for the music program of Maple Grove Elementary School in Joppa, IL.
My name is Brenden Tisler. A student at SIU-Carbondale majoring in Engineering. I am a passionate advocate for music and advancing music in America. This is my first project on my list of many to improve the lives of those whose love music. In conjunction with this GoFundMe, I am the curator of a Benefit Concert at Hangar 9 in Carbondale IL, that will happen on Nov. 1st, 2018, where I intend to also raise funds for this project.
After reaching out to several schools in need in the Southern Illinois area, I determined Maple Grove Elementary to be the best candidate for this fundraising event.
Your donation will affect approximately 160 students in grades K-6, helping provide them with resources such as recorders, classroom drums, a piano, mallet instruments. Music education is very important to enriching the lives of students.
