Hi , I am Shane Rodrigues, the head coach for the FC Tampa - Cyclones. We are a Boys Division 1 competitive soccer team (13 yr olds). We are from Town 'n' Country, Florida.
In December 2019, our team played on the "Southampton Cup - Florida", Throughout the tournament, the Southampton FC Talent ID scouts observed the matches and were looking for the following
attributes in participants:
• Technical Skills + Abilities
• Leadership + Attitude
• Advanced Knowledge of the Game
Two players from our team Daniel Martin (left in the pictures), and Omar Buonafina (right in the picture) were identified and selected to participate in 7 day Player Development Camp hosted at the Southampton Football Club Training Grounds (in Southampton, UK)
The camp will replicate the coaching philosophy of Southampton Football Club’s world-renowned academy, known for consistently developing globally esteemed talent. The camp will be a fully authentic experience, delivered by Academy Staff. The attendees will experience a holistic week-long training program that covers all aspects of player development for full immersion into The Southampton Way.
Dates of Program: May 8th to May 15th, 2020
The monies raised will be used to cover the cost of the
• airfare (~$600 per player)
• training sessions, accommodations, meals, and all transportation while in the UK. ($1825.00 per player)
