The South Texas Community Tennis Association (CTA) was organized in 2008 and is a non-profit organization with 501(c)3 status granted by the United States Internal Revenue Service.
Our mission is to promote and grow the game of tennis in the Rio Grande Valley by providing instruction programs year-round; therefore, enhancing the lives of people of all ages, income and skill levels. With your participation we can certainly achieve our mission.
Our Main Areas of Operations:
Tournaments – Our branded tournaments take place throughout the year, targeting players 18 yrs. and under.
Leagues – The USTA leagues take place year-round, valley wide and range from 18yrs – Super Seniors.
Overview – In the Rio Grande Valley only a handful of tournaments are scheduled, and know that with your help, that number will grow. The CTA administers all tournaments and activities with very little resources. We have implemented “tennis in schools” offering a tennis session during a P.E. class, a Nickelodeon play day, and many programs & fun tournaments offered at little or “no-cost” to help grow this beautiful game of tennis.
