South Africa Field Hockey Tour

A few days ago, I was chosen to compete in the 2018 South Africa Field Hockey Tour. This is a 2 week experience where I will be playing field hockey, playing and learning from players around the world, and to see the beauty of Africa. Only a select few athletes are invited to this by coaches recommendations, all-conference recognition, or if you are a statistical leader. I have been playing field hockey for the last 7 years and I have 2 more years ahead of me. I helped my high school team, Rocky Point, win our first ever County Championship by scoring 2 goals and assisting 2 goals. I received the awards of All-Tournament, All-State, and the MVP award, as well as being one of the top scorers for Pace University and was the first ever field hockey player to earn Setter of the Week! This is a once in a lifetime opportunity to go travel outside of the United States and to play the sport I love all in one. I would really appreciate any help you can offer because I live with my single mother and brother, who also attends college, and need help with the finances of this trip!
