Story Behind My Fundraising Campaign
Every year the Miss Africa Great Britain organization partners with a different charitable organization in a different country in Africa and its contestants raise funds for said organization to support those in need. This year we are fundraising for the LORD'S HERITAGE HOME ORPHANAGE in Abeokuta, Ogun State, Nigeria until October 11th 2018. The Home is a safe refuge for 86 Orphans and Street Children from broken homes (aged between 1 and 11) - some of whom have disabilities. The home provides the children with all they need to survive and thrive in society and also helps children to reconcile with their biological parents where possible.
Orphanhood is something I am very empathetic towards because it could have been my reality having experienced the Liberian Civil War as a child. Therefore, it is with great pride that I am raising funds to support orphans...
How Your Donation Will Help
The Home does not receive any government funding and relies solely on donations from the public. Therefore, I would like to invite you to contribute any amount you can to support this noble cause; your donations will go towards feeding, clothing, medical care and towards the children's education.
My journey towards the role of Miss Africa Great Britain is a journey towards bravery, self-confidence and leadership and I want to keep this momentum going through my selected fundraising activities for the Lords Heritage Home. Please help me raise my fundraising target and I will do a Tandem Skydive for the Lords Heritage Home on November 30th.
