I started building my business, Sophisticated Curves, in June of 2012. I started it because my wife was out shopping for a dress that was affordable, age appropriate, and that would properly fit her curves. She had a difficult time finding what she wanted and it took time and a lot of hopping from website to website. My wife and I thought it would be good to have more of the main women's plus size fashion brands on one website, so I created Sophisticated Curves.
Some of our current projects include:
1. A women's plus size fashion subscription box service that serves sizes 10 to 36 US.
2. Establishing partnerships and collaborations with industry leaders in women's plus size fashions.
3. Looking fo new enovated ways to tackle some of the existing problems in plus size fashions.
4. Expanding or subscription service beyond a size 36.
What is the purpose of this fundraiser?
Your support will help me replace our two 7 year old laptops that are beginning to show their age. This will allow for greater efficiency and tracking of orders, an increase in our social online presence, and allow for increased advertising and marketing for attracting new customers. It will also allow us to do more fashion centered webinars.
We also want to donate 20% of the funds we receive hurricane victims in Puerto Rico.
Here is my plan for these funds:
1. $2000 to replace two outdated laptops
2. $3000 for Advertising, Direct Mailings, and Marketing
3. $1000 for new office supplies and a new printer
4. $1000 for additional branded packaging
5. $1000 for a virtual assistant
