The Solvita Khaimov Fund

In September of 2015,  Solvita Khaimov was diagnosed with Carcinosarcoma of the Ovary.  Since that time, she has undergone multiple surgeries and invasive therapies, including chemotherapy, immunotherapy, and radiation.

After treatments available here in the United States had been exhausted, Solvita sought help in Italy, finding advanced and innovative medical care offered at Gemelli University Hospital.  The invasive, high risk surgery to remove the large cancerous tumor was a success.  Solvita has been released from the hospital and is now recovering in Italy and awaiting radiation therapy treatments that will take up to 6 months to complete, followed by possible chemotherapy or nanotechnology therapy.  After these treatments, Solvita will have to undergo difficult reconstruction surgery to replace organs that were removed, this process could take over a year to complete.

Solvita is the mother of 4 beautiful children in Brooklyn ranging in age from 7 to 12 years old.  The road to recovery will be long and arduous for Solvita and her family.   Solvita's husband is the sole income provider for the family, but he is now with Solvita in Italy supporting her and her fight against the invasive ovarian cancer.  With mounting medical bills, travel expenses, and the cost of maintaining two households, the family needs any financial assistance that can be provided.

As friends of Solvita, we are coming to you for your assistance.  Caring and loving, Solvita is also STRONG...she is a fighter!  We have seen her in her struggle against this cancer.  Even through the worst times, we have never known her to complain - her spirits remain high at all times.  Her positive attitude and devotion to her family are inspirational and as friends, we cannot do enough for her and her wonderful family.
