Solidarity relief effort Guatemala
Donation protected
 Sunday (6/3) afternoon the "Volcan de Fuego" erupted massively killing dozens of people, injuring hundreds of others, displacing thousands and affecting over a million people.
Surrounding communities are still in peril, 7 districts still in Red alert, and more than 3,000 people evacuated.
This effort to help the Guatemalan people is to provide food and water.
Your contribution will help provide those affected with food and water. The funds will be sent to the World Central Kitchen, a nonprofit that helps provide food aid to countries during times of disaster, our contact in the ground is Christina Espinoza founder of Gente Gas in Guatemala.
The distribution of the donations will go for meals for the people in need. The first amount of money will be sent on Saturday (6/9). We will continue collecting funds and continue distributing as more donations come in.
It's in moments like these when we need to come together and help our neighbors to the south.
Fuego is one of Latin America's most active volcanoes. A major eruption devastated nearby farms in 1974, but no deaths were recorded. Sunday's event was on a much greater scale.
This eruption is Guatemala's deadliest since 1902.

El domingo (Junio 3) por la tarde el Volcan de Fuego en Guatemala erupto abruptamente arrazando con varias aldeas que rodeaban el volcan. Decenas de muertos, cientos de heridos, miles desplazados y mas de un millon de afectados.
Comunidades aledañas aun siguen en alerta roja y mas de 3,000 personas han sido evacuadas.
Su contribucion ayudara a los afectados con agua y comidad por medio de la organizacion World Central Kitchen, una organizacion que ayuda en tiempos de desastres naturales.
Son en estos momentos donde tenemos que unirnos y ayudar a la gente que mas lo necesita.
Esta es la la erupcion mas devastadora desde 1902, porfavor ayudenos a poder ayudar a la gente de Guatemala en estos momentos de dolor.

We are a group of friends that have a small collective group called Uniendo Lazos. 3 of us are Guatemalan-American living in Los Angeles, throughout the years we have raised money to help our communities in Guatemala, primarily for education purposes. This being the deadliest disaster since 1902 we felt we had to do something to help our communities in this moment of distress.
