Solar Battery for Barn Owl Camera

Tax deductible
The High Plains Environmental Center works to educate communities to become replicable “living laboratories” which demonstrate restorative examples of land-stewardship, native plants, and wildlife habitat.

At High Plains Environmental Center, we get a sneak peek into the lives of Barn Owls via solar-powered Nest cameras in our barn. However, when we tried to turn the live-steam on this year we found that the batteries for our solar powered camera are not working!

In the past, this live-steam has been watched and appreciated by raptor-loving children of all ages and across all 7 continents of the globe.

Will you help us purchase new batteries so that we may continue observing and learning from the Barn Owl population at the High Plains Environmental Center?

All funds donated will go directly into purchasing new batteries for our solar panels. Since the Barn Owls have already arrived and begun to nest and lay eggs, the sooner we reach our goal the sooner we can share the magic of mating season and animal behavior with you.
