Bring Sokly to America!

Without Sokly, Crossing Cambodia could not exist.  For 4 years, ever since we started this ministry, Sokly has been faithfully serving Crossing Cambodia as our Ministry Director.  Every day she starts at 6am, going out to get kids, preparing meals, helping to clean and dress kids, dealing with school issues, communicating with families, and keeping it up until 4pm.  On top of all that she has been managing the administration, taking care of staff, and acting as a good steward of the funds donated for our ministry.  She is one of the most valuable and essential pieces of our ministry!

Now we want her to be able to come to the US to meet our donors and see how the fundraising is done.  In doing this we hope she will have a greater appreciation for where our support comes from and in the future she will be able to take on a bigger role in communicating with donors.  In doing so it helps us become more stable long-term and enables us to be better stewards of the resources which God provides to our ministry.

However, our ministry is still a small ministry and so we need you to help us make this a reality.  Just $5 helps us towards this goal, $10 or more is even better!  We are hoping to raise up to $2600 to cover the expense of getting Sokly a visa and cover the travel costs for her to visit USA in July of 2017.

We need the first $500 by early March 2017 so that we can get passport and visa taken care of ASAP.

We'll need about $1000 to buy plane tickets by early April

And the rest we will need by the time we take off in early July for the US.

$500 for passport and visa costs
$1000 for round-trip international plane tickets
$1000 for domestic plane tickets, meals, and other travel costs in the US
$100 for administrative costs to GoFundMe

This will mean so much for Sokly who has worked so hard over the years to build up this ministry.  It will also mean a lot to our ministry that we can give her this opportunity to teach her and as a reward for so much hard work over the past 4 years!

*I (Gregory Holz) am the Mission Director for Crossing Cambodia.  I will be traveling to the US in July 2017 for fundraising with my family and so we hope to bring Sokly with us then.  I will be personally responsible for purchasing the plane tickets and making travel arrangments which is why we are raising the money through my GoFundMe account.  If we cannot meet our goals or get the visa you may ask for a refund, or we will hold onto the funds until such time that we are able to get a trip set up for Sokly.
