Redmond needs your help

Help us give Redmond a soft landing. Redmond is a chestnut quarter horse gelding who has faithfully served his people as a kind and gentle lesson horse at JDS Equestrian Center and most recently Morning side stables on the Broadneck area near Cape St Claire. Red is owned by  a company in Pennsylvania that leases horses for summer camps and riding programs. Red has been leased here in the Annapolis area for the past 8 years. Sadly he has a lameness problem with his hoof ( canker). It is expensive to treat and he is no longer able to work regularly in a busy lesson program.  That means he must either be purchased, or returned to the camp. If he returns to camp life, there is no guarantee he will receive the care and rest he needs. Our desire is to purchase Redmond from the camp and provide him with a place to rest and retire if need be. His purchase price will be approx. $2000.  His board and expenses per month will be approx $300 per month. This does not include his farrier and veterinary care.  Our goal is simply to have a nest egg to begin to make this dream come true.  Redmond has taken care of many children over the years we can only hope that you will return the favor for him.
