Soccer development in Serbia

Hi everyone,

As most of you know my name is Petsa Ivanovic and I grew up playing soccer in Serbia. I currently live, work, and coach soccer in the USA and I need your help. My hometown soccer club in Serbia - (GFK Jasenica) is in a deep financial trouble, and they really need a lot of support and help to keep the club running. The club only has a few youth teams, and they barely have enough funds to support them. They often can't make the trips to their games, and not even to mention the lack of equipment, training and match gear, cleats, balls, and all the other necessary things. Local government, community and the economy are struggling as well and are not able to help out at all.
My childhood teammate Ivan Tatomirovic (who currently plays pro in Finland for HJK) and I wanted to raise some funds and try to help out the youth soccer in our city. We want to purchase the equipment needed and supply the club with some funds so that the kids can have a normal training and game environment around them. I am making a trip to Serbia in September and I would really like to help the club while I'm there. Inspired by the recent calls for help from the club's officials and coaches, by the Olympic success by many Serbian athletes who grew up in similar harsh training conditions, and by our love for the game of soccer, we want to try to make a difference. To two of us, and to all of the local kids in our hometown in Serbia this help would and will mean a world. We would be extremely thankful for any amount of support you can provide for these young athletes in helping them to achieve their dreams.
