Two-Time MBS National Champions Need Your Help To Get To The North American Sand Soccer Championships!
There is a long story behind this team, a story that you will want to be a part of. It's about hard work, dedication, and commitment, which brought a team of 10 beach soccer players, from the little town of Oceanside, California into the national spotlight in December 2015, as they won the Major Beach Soccer National Championships. When they returned from Florida, they not only brought back the national title, but also inspiration to their community and fellow athletes.
For some, they instilled the hope that dreams can be achieved, and for others, they provided the motivation to pursue those dreams. Ultimately, this team has proved that anything is possible if you “believe” in yourself, in your team mates, and work hard to make it happen.
The story of SoCal Legacy is still unfolding. The team started this journey during the spring of 2013 and they have been playing in organized beach soccer tournaments ever since.
During 2016, Legacy again qualified for Nationals, along with four other Oceanside-based teams, three of which made the cross-country journey with them to compete at the National Championships in a big way. California had plenty of presence this time around and when they returned, 3 of the 4 teams had medals in the BU14, BU16, and BU18 divisions, which included a second consecutive National Title for SoCal Legacy. The team has accomplished alot, having amassed 12 championships, including two consecutive MBS National Titles, and they were finalists in 4 other tournaments. They have over 60 match victories and have scored nearly 500 goals since inception.
They made it to Florida through their fundraising events and the generosity of the local community, businesses, family members, and friends that supported them. They believe in each other and what they are doing - and the team did not disappoint, securing their second national crown by a score of 4 - 0 in the final.
Legacy is now looking beyond the National Title, focused on competing in the North American Sand Soccer Championships and US Beach Soccer Open, which is held every June in Virginia Beach. This tournament is the holy grail of all competitive beach soccer events. With approximately 12,000 players and 1,300 teams competing last June, it dwarfs the MBS national competition and represents the most spectacular and largest beach soccer tournament in the world by far, offering the absolute highest level of youth competition globally.
Again, the team is looking for support to take its momentum to the next level. These players are from hard working families with humble means and the cost to compete at this upcoming event is high. The team needs your help and involvement; it needs you to join them on this incredible journey to reach the pinnacle of success. Competing at the North American Sand Soccer Championships will make a tremendous impact in their lives and to the local athletes and beach soccer teams in this area for years to come.

Funds will be used for the tournament entry fee, airfare, lodging, ground transportation, and food for the players. We need the funding as soon as possible so we can make travel arrangements in advance.
