Our 8th graders need your help!
Here at South Middle School in Lawrence, Kansas, we have big goals, but achieving them is not always easy. Over 50% of our students come from economically challenged homes. This impacts many aspects of their lives, but our students work very hard to develop their intellect and character every day even with these circumstances.
As we approach the end of our 8th graders’ time as South Cougars, we plan to celebrate their achievements! All four of our district’s middle schools plan to take their 8th graders to a celebration day in May at Worlds of Fun amusement park in Kansas City - but this is expensive! The school district cannot pay for these tickets.
We’re asking for your help in donating funds that will give us the ability to lower the ticket prices as much as possible for all our SMS students! For many of them, this may be the only chance they will have to be able to enjoy a day at Worlds of Fun. For all of them, this will be a great way to celebrate their achievements together one last time as Cougars!
Will you help make this possible? No amount is too small ($10? $15? $25?) and we deeply appreciate any donations you are willing to make.
