A while ago, I was told I had a tumour on my stomach, and whilst it was small, I needed to keep an eye on it in case it grew and became cancerous.
In the past month or so, the tumour has grown exponentially, and now has potential to turn cancerous. Even though it's not currently cancerous, it causes a lot of discomfort, stomach and digestion problems and acid reflux. The tumour has grown to a size where to have it removed would mean loosing 80% of my stomach too.
Medicare won't cover the operation to have it removed, as they'll only remove it once it turns cancerous, by which time the abnormal cells could have travelled to other parts of my body. Now I'm not a gambling person, but even I can see that those odds are not favourable! I'd rather have the operation to remove the tumour before it develops any further, but it means paying out of my own pocket.
I have managed to scrape together my money to cover most of the operation, but I am still short the remaining amount, and the longer I leave it, the more chance the tumour has of turning cancerous.
Please help; Any little assistance would be greatly appreciated.
