Smith Swim and Dive Hour of Power

Donation protected
Ted Mullin was a former captain of the Carleton College swimming team, who died from Sarcoma in 2006. The Hour of Power is a 60-minute practice set of all-out sprint relays and maximum number of flips, and was Ted’s favorite practice. Over 100 teams are participating in the Hour of Power this year to raise money and awareness for sarcoma research. Sarcoma is a rare form of cancer of connective tissues for which little research and drug development funding exists. The Ted Mullin fund is raising money to support pediatric sarcoma research and the introduction of new therapies for treatment of sarcoma at The University of Chicago Medicine Comer Children’s Hospital.

The Smith Swim and Dive team is proud to be participating in the Hour of Power on November 14th from 5-6pm at the Smith College Dalton Pool. If you're in the area and can make it, we would love to have as many people there as possible! Any amount you can donate will get us closer to our $1000 goal for this year! All the money will be given to the Ted Mullin Fund and will help improve the lives of adolescents and young adults who are disproportionately affected by the disease.
