Smiles for Ollie

The Cassidys have received so much love and support from friends, family and even friends of friends that has honestly kept them going through this whole unexpected medical stay for Oliver. What seemed like a very typical illness has turned into a serious lung infection compounded with many other lung complications for now 8-month-old Oliver. They are in good hands at the Childrens Hospital of Colorado in Aurora but Oliver has been admitted since May with several stays in the ICU during that time including a brief period where Oliver was on life support. Ollie is quite the fighter and his outgoing personality and flirtation smiles are shining through again bringing bits joy to hospital staff and family. He remains hospitalized due to his serious medical condition with limited answers to many questions that are still left unanswered. Oliver’s healing process has been long and unpredictable and will need to continue after he is stable enough to leave the hospital. Due to his serious medical condition, Maggie ( Oliver's mom)has needed to take an extended leave from her job and mounting costs are overwhelming on top of the stress of Oliver's illness.
