Scott's Journey for Life

Donation protected
The past two and a half years of my life have been an unbelievable journey....

In November of 2015 I began to get sick from an unknown cause.  I went to several different doctors who were baffled with my symptoms and could not determine the origin of their existence.  On June 22, 2016 I was at my mothers home and passed out three separate times each ending with my head bouncing off of her concrete floor.  I was rushed to the hospital and after days of testing it was eventually determined that I had sarcoma in the lining of the duodenum.

This disease caused acid reflux which damaged my esophagus, gums and eroded my teeth.  It also caused a complete blockage of my intestines which led to IV feedings for 4 months.  Since that first trip to the hospital just over two years ago I have spent more than 180 days in the hospital.  I was intubated to save my life in November of 2017 but less than a month later I was sent home with a prognosis of six months to live.  By the grace of God and the thoughts and prayers from many of you, I am on the road to full recovery with no medical explanation.

My journey is not at its end as I still have eight months of chemotherapy remaining as well as surgeries to repair the damage to my esophogaus and my teeth.  This is not my first bout with cancer, I had Hodgkin's Lymphoma at 19 which required chemotherapy and radiation treatments.  The affects of that will require me to spend time in a hyperbaric chamber after the procedures to ensure proper healing from oral surgery.  The surgeries needed to repair the damage to my teeth and the time in the hyperbaric chamber will not be covered by medical or dental insurance.  I have been unable to work during the time I have been fighting this disease and have spent all of my savings. I have been blessed to have medical insurance that has covered most of my expenses but bills have continued to mount.  Without financial assistance I will be unable to afford the surgeries needed to overcome all the damage this disease has caused.

Many of you have asked if there is any way that you can help, if you find it in your heart to donate in this time of need it would be greatly appreciated.  I thank you all for continuing to keep me in your thoughts and prayers as I continue to fight the fight!  Together we can Beat The Hell Outta Cancer.  Whoop!
