Smash DMD for Jordan
Donación protegida
Our four-year-old son, Jordan, was diagnosed with Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy (DMD) last December.
DMD is the most common fatal pediatric disorder, which affects approximately 1 in every 3,500 male births. Children with DMD are born seemingly healthy and decline over time, typically losing their ability to walk by age 12. This progressive neuromuscular disorder causes a loss of motor, pulmonary, and cardiac function, and ultimately, premature death. Individuals suffering from DMD typically live into their mid to late twenties.
The MisFit Toys Throwdown in Enfield, CT on December 1, 2018 will be the first fundraiser that we've become involved with to directly benefit Jordan. For those who cannot participate in this event, but would like to contribute to our cause, we've set up this GoFundMe page. Our goal is to provide Jordan with the best possible quality of life and we will utilize donations received to make handicapped accessible accommodations to our home as well as save for medical treatments, services, and adaptive equipment.
With Heartfelt Regards,
The Johnson Family
You are my sunshine, my only sunshine
You make me happy, when skies are gray
You'll never know dear, how much I love you
Please don't take my sunshine away
