David Hylan and Raydra Hall have spent four years bringing this invaluable historical story of bravery, sacrifice, and anger to the public eye. Maya Angelou once said, “When you know better, you do better.” The filmmakers’ desire is to make sure we know better so we can do better. That is the impetus for making sure a large audience sees and never forgets this part of our history.
Four years! So, this is it everyone! SMALL TOWN RAGE has finally been completed and premiered. All of the hard work has been worth every second and now we want to share this film with the world. That's right, the WORLD.
Our goal is $5,000. That should cover the enormous fees required by film festival and any other expenses including travel. We know what you're thinking: "But we already donated before to get the film made. What else could you need the money for?" Well, festival fees are insanely expensive! Just for us to submit SMALL TOWN RAGE can cost upwards of $95 a festival - and that doesn't guarantee the film will get screened. Now multiply that by even just 10 festivals and we're already nearing $1,000!
And that doesn't even include the price of promotional materials, flights and hotels for the festivals, and etc. And we're not coming to you expecting you to cover all of those fees. We are really only looking for a helping hand! We simply can't afford to do all of this on our own.
