Skate The Humber!

Friday 1st November Elliot and his dad Dave will be skating the iconic Humber Bridge...not once...but 4 crossings! This is something they've wanted to attempt for some time, but now they have a great cause to do so....
Background
The creator of Market Weighton Hedgehogs did so to help give hedgehogs the opportunity to thrive in their local environment. The idea was to help provide a safe space for them to live, educate local residents, and build the group as a known portal for information and resources.
The group has gone from strength to strength in recent times providing new feeding stations, and acting as an invaluable supporter to the neighbouring hedgehog rescue centres.
With additional funds, further expansion into school visits are being planned, with additional external gatherings for adults to understand how we can all help these fabulous creatures!
Funds raised previously have helped provide sick and injured hogs invaluable medication and care. This predominantly provided by voluntary carers who work small miracles in rehabilitating so many hogs. Sadly funding can be hard to come by, so support from the wider MW Hedgehogs team can help provide much needed donations for food and medical supplies.
From our children helping on the tombola stalls, its helped us see the hard work that goes into the group, and anything we can do to help, however small is very much worth it.
Your help by donating to this cause, will simply go directly to supporting this fantastic group, and help it grow into something very special.
