Vador-Medical Emergency

Donation protected
Vador needs medical attention - knowing how much veterinarians bills & costs are today, we are reaching out asking for help! He is an older cat, and came into our lives when my son was suffering with PTSD symptoms in 2006. He carried my son through the worst of time, and the best of times. He was born from an eye dropper, and lived his first 5 years as a Star Wars project cat for the Canadian Army. He retired from the Star Wars project and the army was going to put him down; instead a veterinarian student grabbed him and brought him home.

She was moving and couldn't bring him with her to her new residence; she knew the man living down the hallway suffered with PTSD (my son) from a traumatic event and didn't leave his apartment, and she asked him to babysit Vador while she went on a trip for a week. He said yes, Vador sat there the whole time on the sofa arm staring at my son. He was analyzing my son. After she came back, she asked my son again if he would consider babysitting Vador for a weekend again. My son agreed; again Vador sat there staring at my son. When she was finally getting ready to move and boxing her stuff - moving things out, she asked him again to babysit, he agreed. She then told my son the story of "Vador" and told my son he was the first person Vador liked beyond her'..and she knew Vador would like him. She asked him if he would consider adopting Vador and that he had a story; the story was he was born from an eye dropper for the army, and lived his whole life in and out of a cage on the star wars project.

She was a training vet. and did part of her training with the animals on the project; and she decided when the army decided Vador served his time, they were putting him down after serving his 5 years. She told the army she would adopt him and take him home. She moved to another city, taking Vador with her - and she loved him.

She told my son Vador was really smart, he was trained to do certain tricks. He understood words, and to talk to him.  He liked boxes because the army let him have boxes. She had boxes all over her apartment, and he would go sit in them and he felt safe in boxes. She showed my son the tricks he could do' and she told him, he needs a lot of love and care - and she felt that Vador could be his friend, and help him "heal" and she knew from the news what happened to my son - and she felt that they could help each other! My son agreed; even though he never owned a pet before, he decided yes' and Vador has been with my son ever since 2006.

Vador went outside into the fresh air, running through grass and flower beds for the first time in his life - beyond a cage or house and he loved it! When he first went out the door, into the yard for the first time he was shaking like a leaf. He was looking at everything, smelling everything, listening to everything; watching all the bugs and birds. It was shocking yet it made him happy. He smelled the flowers in the flower bed, and chased dragon flies outside. He did tricks, but he realized very fast he didn't have to perform tricks for food anymore. He was fed, loved and cared for - and traveled with my son back and forth across the country.

Vador had a life beyond a cage and travelled back and forth across Canada. My son worked across Canada in construction and Vador went with him. But, recently there has been no work - no more travel, and lack of funds on a fixed low income. And with Covid-19 there is lack of even the basic needs. My son needs your help to help Vador.

He recently jumped and fell hurting his back leg; we are not sure if he displaced or broken. Regardless he needs a veterinarian  asap, and its costly in Canada. He is aging, but still has a few years left in his cat life. Please help!! Vador is loved and cared for - and he deserves medical attention, we need your help! Years ago, my son paid for his medical needs over the years, but he cannot afford it today. Your donations are needed for Vador's medical attention today, please help he is suffering, I made a connection with the Vet but with Covid-19, its again a challenge. Your donations and support is needed to help Vador recover.

My other campaign has been deleted, and changed for Vador - because the other one has been successful, in ways that it gained national attention for homelessness. Please understand, my son's cat is in a crisis with pain and requires medical attention. We appreciate your consideration and support.
