Kyndra's Battle with Stage IV Breast Cancer

Hi, my name is Jovielyn and I am starting this fundraiser for my dear friend Kyndra Maxwell.

Earlier this week we all received the devastating news that she is now diagnosed with Stage IV Breast Cancer. With all the uncertainties attached with a diagnosis like this, there is no definite plan set in place. I do know the financial strain will be a burden on the family at this time due to traveling expenses to and from appointments wherever they may be along with paying the monthly bills. Any amount is greatly appreciated, and sharing the GoFundMe link is also a big help to spread the word. So, I got the call this morning as I’m driving the kids to school. I have stage 4 breast cancer. I’m angry, I did everything right, I did the chemotherapy the radiation. I had both breasts removed just in case. Many of you know this means terminal. There is no cure. All I could think of as the doctor was talking was my kids. They were happy and smiling because they were on their way to school, and I just got this horrific news. As moms we need to keep a smile on our face even when our world is crashing. I don’t know what the future holds. I don’t know anything really. What I do know is I will fight with everything I have to be here for as long as possible for my babies. I don’t know when I’ll break down, I’m sure it’s coming, I haven’t allowed myself to cry yet. I think I’m too focused on what am I going to do. I have so much I need to figure out. Treatment, where to go. Find clinical trials. I don’t have much money, but I’ll find a way to go to every hospital in the nation if it means I have a chance at being here longer.
