Dominique Sarah&Violets home fire

At 3am on July 5th Dominique woke to the sound off cracking and light flickering on the wall. She jumped out of bed and looked to see smoke pouring in through the French doors from the balcony. She ran down stairs to her eldest daughter Sarah (16) who was sleeping underneath where the fire started; Sarah ran to get her sister Violet (8) then into the street to the neighbour's house in pajamas and without shoes. When the girls were safe, Dominique tried to get the hose to put the fire out while dialing 911 but it progressed too quickly. The fire resulted in a total loss of the home and all of their possessions in 40 minutes or less despite the amazing effort of 22 Bow Horn Bay and Deep Bay volunteer firefighters. The neighbours took care of the kids until morning.
Everything the girls had is gone, baby and family pictures and irreplaceable items. Her home insurance was to be renewed in the next few days which has left the family with nothing; no food, clothing, personal effects, possessions. Dominique was approved for a loan to renovate and sell her home on July 6th (the next day) as she has been recently separated and was injured at work last year. She has been unable to work and is booked for surgery at the end of the month after a year of tests and intense pain. Her medical EI is about to run out, and all three girls will have to rebuild from scratch with nothing.
This go fund me account is to cover the bare essentials for survival. The immediate needs are for clothing, food, medications, and support while Dominique is working to recover her health so she can support her girls again. We're hoping to raise enough money to rebuild her home so that she can concentrate on healing and returning to work. This untimely, unfortunate event has left this small family in financial desperation and in great need of support from the community.
