Singapore Urban Design Festival

Hi! I’m Lorenzo and my passion is to help people reclaim their cities through human centred design. (Tedx video) 

This why, 2 years ago we started the Singapore Urban Design Festival. A unique and non-for-profit platform created to empower communities to unlocking city spaces originally created for cars or businesses, and make them their own.

For our 3rd year we decided to take up a couple levels and host the festival in a multi-storey carpark. WHY? Because multi-storey car parks are proven to be one of the most inefficient uses of urban design and city space, particularly the top floors. We want to take that unused space back and give it new life.

The week days we'll focus on experts and professionals discussing and presenting solutions on how to best create more sustainable cities. While the weekend will be more community driven with space transformation workshops and wellness activities and a roof top  roller disco under the stars!

If successful, we could help people unlock millions of unused square meters and create community spaces to meet, socialise and grow.

Our plan is to minimise waste when building the venue by repurposing beer crates and up cycling existing materials.

But there is a challenge...

There is a high cost of temporarily converting an infrastructure from one built for cars to a sustainable space for people.

We need your help to make it happen and fuel the movement towards human centred and sustainable cities.

We made a conscious decision to keep the standard ticket prices as low as possible so that more people can have to opportunity to come and learn so here are some special packages for those of you who donate.

- All the donors will be thanked and mentioned in a board at the entrance of the festival.
- Donation of 50 Euro and above: will have automatically access to the Lifestyle programme (roller disco, workshops, expo area, live music, rooftop dining…)
- Donation of 250 Euro and above will have automatically access to the innovative talks and lifestyle programme 
- Donation of 500 Euro and above will have a “Square” or a “Street” dedicated (i.e. Bob Square)
- The best donor will have the Roller Disco named in his/her name.
