Simon VS Goliath

Tax deductible
Help Simon to step out against Goliath–outcomes of 50 years of aggressive Soviet atheistic propaganda in Estonia. Help to establish Christian outreach center HOME of HOPE.

Goal of this project is to change the future of Estonia, knowing that the results of this will reach out beyond the Estonian borders to the East and West.

Siimon Haamer is a 3rd generation Lutheran Pastor despite 50 years of aggressive Soviet atheistic propaganda in Estonia when Christians and their families were persecuted. For decades, this small nation of 1.3M people was in a spiritual fight with powerful Russian rulers. Estonia regained it's freedom through singing in 1991 but during the oppressive Soviet occupation the percentage of Christians dropped from 98% to 13%. Fruits of this atheistic propaganda are still there. It's like Goliath who derided the Lord (1 Samuel 17).

Siimon's grandfather Harri was arrested and spent 8 years of his life in a Soviet slave labor camp in Siberia. Also there he didn’t stop being a pastor. He came back and wrote a book about his experiences. Hereby we make you a special offer and share a link of the PDF file  of his book "We shall live in heaven". After Harri was captured rest of the family escaped and Siimon's father hid 6 years in forest in the underground bunker. He was a teenager at the time.

Siimon, who is the Dean of a Christian College called Tartu Academy of Theology, is carrying on the legacy of his father and grandfather with his brothers (Siimon is youngest son in his family as was also David), because they are pastors as well.  He and his family have boldly stepped out against this chaos and are fighting against this Goliath with Lord.

The vision is to establish a Christian Outreach and Training Center, the “HOME of HOPE”, in Tartu, Estonia. Construction has begun and when completed the building will be used to train Ministers, Chaplain’s, Christian Counselors, lay leaders, Christian media specialists etc. The Home of Hope will include several Christian organizations including a Christian college, a Christian radio station (that will also transmit into Russia), a spiritual mentoring center, a Christian counselling center and youth activities.  Essentially, the HOME of HOPE will help spread the Word of God in Estonia.

It is our prayer that Christians with a heart for evangelism, will help us revive what was lost in Estonia.

The total cost of the HOME of HOPE is $1,597,099 and $233,247 was raised before we started GoFundMe fundraiser. After the launch of the project in the very end of April of 2018 we raised the necessary earnest money of $125,000 in 6 weeks. This was God’s sign and encouragement. Now we can’t stop, but we need much help. If you are willing and able to be one of the builders of HOME of HOPE, we are very thankful for your support. Please pray about how God wants you to help.

Here is a trailer of a film "The Singing Revolution" that gives you a very quick overview about Estonian recent history and how this country got freedom through singing. This was God's miracle but unfortunately very small percentage of Estonians are confessing that today. We need to help them to realize how merciful is God. You can help us in this mission.

Watch Siimon sharing compelling story about God's promise and how Home of Hope building process started already 24 years ago.

Pastor Sandy Miller, Lutheran Congregations in Mission for Christ Ministry Board member and pastor of First Lutheran Church (Hope MN), visited Estonia in August of 2018 and shared her feelings about the HOME of HOPE project:
While there, I was also able to share in the excitement of seeing progress being made on the Home of Hope. Our church has already been supporting this project with our resources and prayers, but seeing it firsthand and hearing the vision directly from both Eenok and Siimon Haamer stirred up an even deeper excitement and desire to support Home of Hope. One of the things that I sensed while in Estonia is that “God is on the move.” The Spirit is moving in the Church and among the people. I sensed that the Church needs to be ready. Tartu Academy of Theology needs to be ready. Ready to effectively train future pastors and ministry leaders who are equipped to respond to those who are seeking. Ready to bring the hope of Jesus Christ to Estonia. Humanly speaking, this project seems beyond reach. But Jesus said in Luke 1:37, “nothing is impossible with God.” Nothing is too big for Him, and I believe in faith that this project is going to come to fruition.

"For to this end we toil and strive, because we have our hope set on the living God, who is the Savior of all people, especially of those who believe."
1 Timothy 4:10
