Siler City Elementary Writers Club

Most of my students in my school come from low-income families. Most of them will be the first ones to go to college. In order to raise their spirits and expectations, we started a writing club last school year. We published an issue with stories created by our club members, and we visited UNC-Chapel Hill. One of our members won the Young Authors' award in our county and several were finalists.

This year we are going to UNC-Chapel Hill to enjoy a football game on November 17. The university has provided us with the tickets. Our students are excited to go there and visit the university.
In order to make them feel proud of who they are and who they represent, we would like to give them a T-shirt with the club logo and the name of the school. In this way, everybody in the university would be able to admire the passion and drive of our students and show our students that the American people love them and support them.
We have 44 members in our club as of today. We have talked to a person in our town who designs and embroiders T-shirts. He has given us a special price. The 44 shirts for the students and 5 adults who will accompany them, will cost around $600.
The shirts will also be worn in the future when the club makes a public presentation.
The embroider told us that we need to order the shirts by October 23. in order to have them ready in time for the game. The color of the shirts would be Carolina blue with white letters. This is rough design of the T-shirts.
Our students will really appreciate your support.
