1 John 3:17-18 If someone has enough money to live well and sees a brother or sister in need but shows no compassion-how can God's love be in that person? Dear Children, let's not merely say that we love each other; let us show the truth by our actions."
This is my dear friend Courtney who God purposely and divinely brought into my life in May of 2017. When I first met her Jesus gave me a clear understanding that my family needed to love and serve her well and sacrificially. There are too many stories to list here but I will give testimony to how God has pursued her (even through miraculous stories) and continues to make Himself known as her Provider.
She is a single (wonderful) mother to two little girls who we have agreed to be guardians for. Courtney is what I would say the Bible calls an orphan because both her parents have addictions and chose not raise or support her. From her childhood and into adulthood has felt alone, unsupported, and unwanted. As believers we know God is a Father to the fatherless, defender of widows, places the lonely in families, sets the prisoners free and gives them joy (Psalm 69:5-6). She has already been placed with my family and I'm confident soon will join God's family as a believer.
While my family over the past year has given our time, resources including our own vehicle for weeks at a time, finances, and prayers I'm now reaching out to other believers. I say that not to brag but to let you know I'm not asking for something I have not already been doing. God has given me multiple times to put the Bible verse 1 John 3:17-18 into practice. I am so grateful to be included and apart of her story that is leading to complete healing and wholeness in Jesus.
Back in October Courtney came down with pneumonia and needed to spend over a week in the hospital where she told me she almost didn't make it out of there. She is also very allergic to most antibiotics and steroids so then the next 3/4 weeks were spent trying to heal her body from the very things she needed to save her life. She was unable to work for all that time and now she is in the the very real and hopeless situation of no paychecks coming to pay her bills. Because of these unforeseen health emergencies, she needs at least $2,500 to cover rent, utilities and basic needs like gas/car insurance for November and December.
I have been praying that God would use his people to show her that He loves her and is for her. There has been a huge spiritual awakening over the last few months and I'm confident soon she will give her life to Jesus and discover even more that all her needs will by met and fulfilled by only Him.
The best way for her story to be shared is through Gofundme but they do take a small compensation when you give. If you want to give the full amount please use my paypal account and I will transfer the money directly over to her.
If you do feel the desire to send this to others please don't share over public social media as I have shared some personal information only for you to know who you are giving to.
Ephesians 3:20-21
Now to Him who is able to do infinitely more than all we ask or imagine, according to His power that is at work within us, to Him be the glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, forever and ever. Amen
