3rd Annual "Shore For A Cure" Skate

Donation protected
The Goal
Our goal is to raise money and awareness of the camp that Chaz attends, but will not be able to attend this summer...AGAIN. It is also for the recent loss of our beloved Aunt Vick, who was a mother to us all. We will be donating 50/50 to both “Camp No Worries” and to The "LiveStrong" Foundation

Who We Are
Chaz Briggs -  Professional Goober
Tyler Woyshner - Amateur Hockey Player (at best)
Bryan Rudolph - Made it to the Igloo all 4 years!
Corey Pedersen - Guy who got run over by supply truck

Extremely Honorable Mentions for doing the deed - Victoria Freels, Will Sulpizio, Jeff Briggs, Brett Woyshner, Alec Artosky, Wade Sander, Chris Churchman and last but not least - Tyler Pedersen

The Reasons
We have lost enough people and know enough strong-willed people who are more than worthy of receiving the help they deserve. By doing this skate, we can promote awareness of the importance of physical activity and staying fit, while raising money to help cure the 2nd biggest cause of death.

The kids that Chaz works with every summer have been nothing short of inspiring. Our Aunt Vick was the same way, teaching us to live life the way you want it to be lived. You only get one shot, so why not make it worthwhile? But also, why not help out the ones who are less fortunate? That is where we come in. We hope to inspire others to get active, give back, and smile by doing this skate and continue to pass the inspiration on.

We have all lost someone to this epidemic. We will lose more. We are working towards the cure. We need your help.

Camp No Worries
"Upon first look at the campers who attend Camp No Worries, you would not think there is anything unique about them. However, Camp No Worries campers are all children dealing with a diagnosis of cancer in some way. They are patients, survivors, siblings, or bereaved siblings ranging in age six to sixteen. Camp No Worries strongly believes there is a therapeutic component of including brother and sisters in the camping experience. Therefore, we do not limit the number of siblings that attend, as long as they meet the minimal requirements.

Camp No Worries is a summer camp created solely to give children with cancer and their siblings an opportunity to relax, enjoy themselves and forget about their worries for one week every summer.

It’s a place that allows children facing a diagnosis of cancer to just be kids. It’s a place of happiness, friendship and new adventures. It’s a place of camaraderie and acceptance where everyone knows first–hand what it’s like to live with cancer. And, it’s a true summer camp experience in every sense of the word."

Donations Destination
The donations that we collect will be directly split between the Camp No Worries summer camp and the LiveStrong Foundation. 50/50.

We can say that the money that goes toward Camp No Worries will be used for supplies like lunches, crafts, activities, sports equipment, scavenger hunts, off-sight activities, or even help out putting a child into the camp. The typical cost to send one child to camp for a week is around $1,000. That is really not a lot of money to send one child away for a week of happiness. One can simply not put a price on the fact that this camp gives kids the chance to stray away from everyday stresses and just go be a kid!

As for the LiveStrong foundation, I have not been able to get a direct answer from them, but the website clearly states that "Eighty-two cents of every dollar we raise goes directly to helping people and families fighting cancer now." Thats pretty reasonable. We have to remember that with anything, there is always a cost associated.

In the future, if you or someone you know has been putting time and effort into another camp or foundation, please let us know and next year we could be raising money for them!!

The Impact
We are beyond grateful you are even on this page reading all of these words. Any monetary donation is extremely generous of you and we all thank you so much for giving to people that are less fortunate or just need some help. We could all use a hand once in a while. Once again, we really appreciate it!

Any questions, comments, or suggestions can be asked through this site!
