Outdoor Sporting Activities

The fund is needed to purchase badly needed supplies for Boy Scout Troops and Cub Scout Packs to promote outdoor based sporting merit badges. Current supplies have been completely depleted and replacements badly needed to maintain these programs at a level that allow young men to learn team tactics, improve attention span, and concentration in school.  This is a low priority within Boy Scouts, but it has shown to increase productivity in today's youth.  These outdoor based sporting merit badges get the scouts outside and using hand/eye coordination as well as utilizing various thought processes to incorporate math in day to day activites. 

The funds will be utilized to improve/replace aging facilities to enable access to thousands of scouts per year.  Fund will procure chairs, benches, fans, supports, lights, as well as weather proofing outdoor areas to be able to be used during inclement weather. 

We are affiliated with the First United Methodist Church and are sponsored by their Men's Club.
