As the only inner city archery team in Minnesota, Open World Learning Community (OWL) Archery of Saint Paul is proud to support a team of 35 archers as they explore their love of archery. Serving grades 6 – 12, the OWL Archery team empowers students to refine their skills and enjoy the sport through interactive coaching methods and regular competition.
This year, both the middle school and high school teams have qualified to participate in the National Archery in the Schools Program (NASP) national tournament in May 2017. The trip to Kentucky will be an economic barrier and the team has worked diligently to raise funds to offset the cost of participation. Our team successfully hosted a tournament in February, drawing almost 500 participants and raising enough money to cover transportation costs for everyone to attend. However, there are many other expenses involved in the trip and we are asking for help to raise additional funds to help offset the costs of registration and hotel stays.
Your support is key in solving this problem. Would you please consider a monetary donation to help us travel to the national tournament in Kentucky this May? Registration fees are expected to total almost $1,200 and hotel accommodations for all the archers, coaches and chaperones will total over $5000. Any assistance you can offer towards these expenses would be so very helpful in ensuring that the OWL archers are able to able to embrace this opportunity and compete in the national tournament.
