My sister Shirley Hernandez ... pictures taken of her only 1 year ago - and now.
Shirley broke her ankle last winter when she slipped on ice which required surgery. It was then that the doctors told her she had advanced lung cancer. She immediately started treatment at Sloan-Kettering in New York. Her treatments kept her sustainable.
In late summer Shirley went to Florida to be with her daughter (her only child - who married in 2015 and is now expecting a child 2017) and to continue her treatment.
Unfortunately the treatment they gave her in Florida, which was not the same as in New York, caused Shirley to be hospitalized due to severe reactions.
She has been hospitalized for over a month now. Her condition is worsening because she has little to no care. She is unable to get out of bed.
All Shirley wants to do is go back to New York; her home and where most of her family and friends are.
Shirley is not healthy enough to fly but we have found an ambulence/ambulette company who will transport her home; from there she can receive proper treament and care.
Please help my sister achieve her wish to go home. Any amount will be greatly appreciated. And please SHARE on FB ... every little bit counts.
