Hi everyone,
There are a group of us who will be sleeping on the streets of Ennis, in 4 days’ time. Myself, my boyfriend Eric, Alex Whyatt, Jess Dagnall and her 2 teenage daughters Eleanor (16) and Aless (14). Can our friends on here please take a second to read this? We’re looking for as much help and support as we can get.
There is a national emergency happening right now with over 8,500 people homeless, nearly 3000 of these are children! Our government are failing to address and tackle this large-scale problem, which is only getting worse. However, we on the ground can make a difference and do what we can in an effort to combat this living nightmare for families across the country.
The Focus Ireland Shine A Light night is coming up on Friday 13th October. We're hoping to recruit a few people for the sleep out. If you are interested in doing this with us you can contact us through Facebook. All donations to this page and on the night go to Focus Ireland.
This is something that is very close to all of us and a lot of us don’t realise how thin the line is, and that anyone can end up homeless at any given time. Let’s make a difference while we can.
