Super Happy Funding Emergency!

Hello! On top of all the other troubles that super happy fun land is currently experiencing, our only air conditioner in the front area has gone Kaputz just in time for summer.

I am not appealing to people to just blindly throw money into it but I am asking for advice on how to come up with a sane and logical solution that does not involve sinking hundreds of dollars into something that might potentially end up "Not working"

This is possibly the third time I have attempted to create this go-fund-me. I spent over an hour last night composing an epic tome detailing the entire ordeal and then I accidentally erased it.

I am not at all ungrateful to the people who did recently take the time to come out and look at the thing and give their opinions. I want re-embursement to go where re-embursement is due, but this AC situation is the icing on the cake of a rather dire finacial crisis that was already giving us grief.

A long time ago, someone donated an air conditioner to us and it has been sitting in our back yard ever since.  I am not ungrateful for the donation of the AC unit which we so obviously needed but Unfortunately, I was unsuccessful at that time in getting my partner Brian to cooperate with any efforts to get the unit hoisted onto the roof.
I am unsure as to its condition, but that might be one viable option...of course money/effort would be needed to even try to implement that plan.

As co-founder of Super Happy Fun Land, I am somewhat hindered by communication and other functional difficulties because i am on the autistic spectrum....So the act of networking/reaching out to people etc etc etc....does not always come to me easily.

Also, I spend a large part of every day at my "Day job" and that make it hard for me to do the things over there that I would like to do.

Super Happy Fun Land has been around since 2002.

We are run on donations and by vollunteers.

We are a multi-purposed performance and arts space and we have tried to do our best to offer our space to a great diversity of performances and causes...but it is hard to do very much of anything when our Air Conditoner is broken.

In addition to donations...of which I have gotten a few, I could also really use advice.

I have concidered getting an evaporative cooler of some kind just to cool the area around the stage and am weighing the pros and cons of that idea.

Most people I have talked to have poo-pooed the notion....but it would at least cool the area where the performances take place and the audience stands and I think that would be better than nothing for the time being.

Please...any ideas would be greatly appreciated and with summer bearing down on us, time is of the essence.

Sincerely,

Olivia
