Sherin's Medical Expense Relief

In November 2016, Sherin was diagnosed with a form of uterine cancer after several months of medical complications. She has travelled back and forth numerous time already in the past three months to Thunder Bay for medical appointments and on November 8, 2016, had a full radical hysterectomy in Thunder Bay, ON, where she was required to stay for a week. Sherin now faces the challenges of radiation treatment, which she will have to travel to Toronto, ON for. Sherin and her husband, Larry, are scheduled to be in Toronto for approximately two weeks, as Sherin has radiation treatments scheduled as an outpatient. They will be required to stay in a hotel, purchase meals and utilize public transportation, flights, etc. As well, she will have several appointments in Thunder Bay, ON after radiation.
I am hoping that together as friends, family and a community we can help them to offset some of the medical expenses they will have. Both Larry and Sherin are retired and on a modest income and any support that they are able to receive would be so greatly appreciated.
Sherin has grown up in the Nestor Falls and Fort Frances area and has worked hard all of her life for her family and her community. She has spent the last 10 years volunteering her time running Fort Frances Friends of Animals, which is a district wide animal rescue. She is heavily involved in the fostering of animals, adoptions, fundraising, hands on rescuing animals out of dangerous situations, transports, coordination of foster homes and working with a number of other dedicated people to keep the animals safe and find them their forever homes.
Sherin has always helped out her family, friends and community in any way she could, whether it be coaching her children's sporting activities, volunteering for fundraising with various organizations or lending a helping hand wherever needed.
Now, Sherin could really use our help and the support of her friends, family and community. Please, if you are able, help make this very difficult time and fight in Sherin and Larry's life, a little bit easier and a little more manageable.
