She Is Worth Educating

In August 2018, I started a programme in my home church, Burdekin  Miracle Life Center in Kenya, called Shine. It's a programme that empowers girls to understand their personal value, strength and potential. Since then, I have learnt that most of the girls have dropped out of school due to various reasons such as early pregnancy and lack of tuition fees. This made them feel worthless and some of the girls have even attempted suicide. Despite these circumstances, I believe that they deserve an opportunity to have a better future through education.

Helen is one of the girls on the programme. She comes from a humble background where two of her siblings have physical and learning disabilities. Later in 2017, her mother was diagnosed with breast cancer. Due to strained income and the attention needed by her family, Helen left high school to cater for these needs. However, through the Shine programme, Helen resumed school and had a chance to seat her final exams. Currently, she is looking forward to going to university to obtain a diploma in education.

It is has been a month since schools recommenced and there are many other girls in the programme, with stories similar to Helen, in dire need of your help to resume their education and keep learning. By giving them a financial leg up, 10 girls will be in a position to pay their tuition fees and buy stationary needed for school. Please help me bring a light into these girls' lives by sponsoring their education. Be the glimmer that shines a light on these girls' personal value, strength and potential.
