Shaylee's Transportation Costs for Treatments

Our Daughter, Shaylee Bedward, has been battling ovarian cancer for the past 20 months. She went thru 9 months of Chemotherapy plus Hormone therapy, but neither one stopped, or even slowed down, the growth of her cancer.
She is currently in the middle of a Clinical Trail at M.D. Anderson, in Houston Texas, where she was given a T-Cell infusion of her own white blood cells that were "amped up" to help destroy the cancer cells in her body.
In addition to this, she is receiving Immunotherapy treatments every three weeks to help these T-Cells recognize the cancer cells, and shrink , or even eliminate, them!
She is scheduled to receive this Immunotherapy "as long as it continues to work"...and that is where I am seeking your help!
Shaylee lives in Kansas City, Mo, and her Immunotherapy Treatments are in Houston, TX...The first several trips she drove down (a 12-hour trip each way). However, with the trip needing to be made every 3 weeks for an indefinite time, flying seems to be the better option in order for her to keep her job with minimal missed time at work.
BUT, the cost of making the trip to Houston every three weeks is daunting:
* Flight...................$300
* Hotel/airbnb....$200
* Uber & Meals...$100
EACH TRIP.......$600
And, again...That's Every 3 Weeks!
Although Shaylee knows these treatments are necessary, she was overwhelmed with the thought of missing 3 days of work every 3 weeks, and coming up with what comes out to be $800 every month!
I told her if she can wrap her head around the "missing work issue", I will do my best to raise the necessary funds!

The original goal was to raise $7200 to cover the cost of 12 trips to Houston...This will eliminate the financial burden thru 2019 for her treatments!
The second goal was $10,000.....The additional $2800 will cover the cost of allowing her boyfriend, Evan, to fly down with her for 8 of her appointments...the ones when she has CT scans/X-rays to determine if the treatment is working, and to talk about possible needed changes in her treatment plan...I just don’t want her to be alone when she has to make important decisions, or when she is given potentially life-altering news!
The final goal is $12,500! This will serve as a “cushion“ for any additional trips and/or unforeseen medical expenses Shaylee may encounter yet this year!
