I'm shaving my beard to raise money for Legacy House Wagga Wagga as they have been a great support for my nan Joan Hilton after she was widowed.
My grandfather Allen Leo Hilton served as a signalman and was posted to New Guinea during WWII. Allen passed away in 1954 after a work accident at the age of 30 leaving behind nan and two young sons, my father Peter 5 and my uncle Ian 3.
Legacy have helped my nan with pensions, home loans, health services and much more. Legacy have great volunteers who help provide services to the 863 widows they support.
