The Shaun Paul Hamblen Memorial Fund

Shaun Paul Hamblen was abducted on November 29, 2018 and his body was found on December 6th. At age 23, this loved young man was murdered, leaving behind his mother, Michelle, his younger sister Morgan and his fiancé Kasey. The family appreciates the outpouring of support they received during the hard days of waiting when Shaun was missing up to the terrible discovery of his death, almost a week later. However, over these Holidays, support is still needed and we appeal to you.

 So many people have asked how they may help the family during this time. We organize this Go Fund Me for Shaun’s fiancé, Kasey. She and Shaun were planning their new life together and now she cannot make ends meet on one income. We hope to raise $25,000 so that Kasey can move to a safe and affordable location and keep with her, the two dogs she adopted with Shaun. The funds will cover her living arrangements for a year so that she may begin to recover from Shaun’s death, both emotionally and financially, without fear of losing a roof over her head. In life, Shaun loved Kasey so much and in death, we honor his love by making sure she is taken care of.

 Shaun’s family will collect and dispense all Go Fund Me monies to provide for Kasey. Should funds additional to the $25,000 be raised, the money will be applied to unforeseen expenses related to Shaun’s death or donated in honor of Shaun to his favorite charity, The Urban Bicycle Food Ministry (ubfm.net) with full disclosure.

There are no words for the sadness Shaun’s death has caused or for senselessness of the act that took him from all who knew and loved him.

 As the family begins what seems like an impossible road to recovery, they thank you for your generosity of spirit, past present and future.

My relationship to the parties you're raising funds for: I am a friend of Shaun's mother and Shaun's god mother.

How the funds will be used: The funds will be used to help her Shaun’s fiancé get back on her feet. The narrative explains that she needs assistance. Any monies raised over the goal will be applied to unforeseen expenses related to Shaun’s death or donated to The Urban Bicycle Food Ministry (ubfm.net) .

If you intend to withdraw the money, how you plan to send the funds to the parties you're raising money for or use the money on their behalf. The money is going directly to a savings account in Shaun's mother's name. She will use this money to help Kasey secure housing since her income had been cut in half.
