Twins going to college

Donation protected
My name is Sharon Acosta and I have a twin brother, we are currently seniors at Warren High School Downey, California.

After completing my high school career, I plan to study/major in accounting. Though I'm not entirely sure where I will be attending school, I plan on either attending UC Berkeley, UC Riverside, UC Irvine, or Cal State Fullerton . As I prepare to enter college, I am trying to do everything possible to make my journey there definite. I have a GPA of 3.83 and I earned excellent scores in my SAT and ACT. I have no doubt that I will meet my goals in life with determination, hard work, and commitment. Something that I find in myself is my passion to learn and succeed in life. During the years of my high school career, I took various rigorous classes consisting of honors and AP classes.

Aside of my academics, I am currently involved in many organizations within my school and community. I am a member of ten clubs at my school, and I'm heavily involved in Color Guard.  I commit to 14-20 hours a week at practice and competitions and 6 hours a week in volunteering for my school and community. The clubs I am involved in at school are: Key Club, Girls League, Humanitarian Club, Bears of Hope, IDEAS Club, Impact Club,  Teen Connection,  Make A Wish, Small Change,  and California Scholarship Federation.I have also started volunteering at the Food Bank at Downey First Christian Church that is hosted every Saturdays.

Outside of my academics and volunteering, one of my favorite hobbies is to bake. In my state of desperation, I found myself using my hobby to use as a possible business. I've begun selling sweets to local neighbors to help fundraise for my school expenses. Although it is not enough, I plan to keep it in a savings account meant for college.

So after all this, you may still be asking yourself as to why you should invest in me. I believe that you should do so because I am planning to devote my time and energy into becoming successful in life and being someone who other young Latinas can look up to. It's not about the money I will make in the future, but about the people I will inspire along the way. My primary goal is to utilize my resources and networks to get to where I need to be. In order to reach my goal however, I would like to humbly and respectfully ask for your assistance in helping me cover the financial expenses needed to go to college. Every donation, no matter the size, helps and will be used towards my tuition as well as books and other school expenses.Thank you for taking the time to consider helping me in this opportunity to further my education.

PS. Please remember that I have a twin brother as well, that is planning on  furthering his education too. So please help him as well. Thank you.
