The things that bring us joy in life are priceless, but too often they come with a price tag. Many of you have not met Sharley, so let me say a few words about her.
Sharley is a three-month-old goldendoodle, and like all puppies, she resonates with joy. She loves to run and feel the Laramie wind tugging at her fur, she loves to jump around and dare gravity to hold her back, and she brings joy into the lives of everyone who is lucky enough to cross paths with her.
But Sharley is also in trouble. On June 29th – a sunny, warm day made for chasing frisbees and rolling in the grass, Sharley dislocated a growth plate in her tibia. She has spent the last two days in too much pain to do the things she loves, and she needs surgery to ever do them again.
