Share the love for Cheryl

My mother, Cheryl Ennis, is one of the victims of the March 16th Pickering Wharf fire that left residents of the 9 unit building homeless. First and foremost, we are grateful for her safety and feel blessed that she was out of the country during the disaster. However, bringing her home to the scene of destruction was one of the most difficult things I have ever had to do. My mother is a beautiful, selfless woman who has worked hard her entire life to provide for her family. She has endured many challenges, but always faced them with grace, determination and heart.
She described her home on the wharf as her sanctuary. Over the past 13 years, she fell in love with this beautiful, bustling location and although the cost of living there was difficult to maintain since her retirement from Salem State University, she was willing to work 40 plus hours a week at her part time job at the Hawthorne Hotel to afford the rent and enjoy luxuries in life like her passion for fashion and love of travel.
At age 63, she faces the horrible reality that her home and all of the possessions she has worked so hard to attain are now gone. Unfortunately, she did not have rental insurance, but with the help of family and friends and the kindness of strangers my mother will prevail and be okay. She has her life, her health, and lots of love from all of us to see her through. Please consider even the smallest contribution to help her rebuild from this difficult setback.
