Dear friends and family,
It is with a heavy heart we create this page. Our dear friend, Shae Simmons, was involved in a terrible car accident the evening of Thursday, May 19th in Oklahoma. She was air lifted to a hospital in Tulsa, put on a ventilator and sent into surgery shortly after.
Unfortunately, Shae is suffering from several different injuries now that require intense surgery and lots of prayer. She has severe trauma to her head, as well as bone fractures in her arm, and will need several procedures on her chest. Currently, she is stable and will remain under sedation while her doctors run more tests and scans to figure out the next steps that they will need to take.
As our hearts are breaking for her, we can do more to help.
As loved ones, friends, family and the powerful loving Barnabas community, we are reaching out to you all to ask for prayers first and foremost. Prayers that Shae is healed. Prayers that Shae is protected from further medical complications. Prayers that her family remains hopeful, as well as feeling comforted and supported.
But we can also help futher.
The immediate expenses for this event are quickly growing for Shae's family. They have a long road ahead of them. We can, together, help in financial support so they can focus on their beloved without any other obstacles distracting them.
Every penny raised will go to her family to provide for any and all of their immediate needs. From food, hotels, insurance deductibles, and any and all other stressful "how do we pay for this" needs that may appear during this time.
The most important thing right now is for Shae to be covered in prayer, and for her parents to feel the blessing and support of the community behind them during this time.
We have all been blessed to have Shae as a part of our Barnabas family and as a light in our lives. Thank you all for your love and concern for Shae and her family!
