Infant Shaelie Cornea Transplant
Donation protected

On February 15, 2018 I gave birth to my beautiful daughter Shaelie Ann McCulland. I instantly noticed something was wrong with her eyes. They were cloudy. She was diagnosed with Bilateral Peters Anomaly. She is blind in one eye and has little vision in the other eye. There is hope for her!! There is a surgeon who feels she could benefit from a Cornea Transplant. The closest facility that will perform the surgery is 4 hours away in Birmingham, Alabama. Her procedure is scheduled for May 29, 2018 at Children’s Hospital of Alabama- provided there is a suitable donor available. There is the possibility the brain could reject the cornea, which will require additional transplants throughout her life. She will also need surgery to remove cataracts. I am asking for donations to help pay for treatments not covered by her insurance, as well as to off-set some of the expenses to travel back and forth over the next year. Please pray for my beautiful baby girl as we go through this long journey ahead, but I know God is in control! Thank you in advance for all your help, your thoughts, and prayers!
