Shae Edwards Funeral Expenses

We at Stand Up KC and the national Fight For $15 campaign are heartbroken by the loss of one of our leaders and comrades, Shanterria Edwards. For three years, Shae stood on the front lines of the movement fighting for better pay, union rights, an end to racism and sexism, and liberty and justice for all working people. She marched, went on strike, attended local meetings and national conventions of low-wage workers, and organized people in her community and at her job. Her unexpected death came as a shock to us and to her mother and grandmother whom she leaves behind. We are asking for donations to help her family pay for Shae's funeral expenses. Any funds that we raise will be immediately distributed to her mother and used to offset the cost of the funeral services. Thank you.
