Sgt John Toombs

D John Toombs shown in the picture standing front row in the middle. Sgt John Toombs took his life on Wednesday November 23 lon the campus of the Murfreesboro, Tn. VA hospital. He was told to leave after going through treatment at the facility. He made a video before taking his life and it's so disturbing to watch. You can see in the video that he had given up and was distraught. Fox News channel 17 Nashville aired the story tonight and you can view the video on their website. The Money raised  will be used to establish a college memorial scholarship in John's name. My name is Allen Chapman and I served with Sgt Toombs on deployment to Afghanistan in 2011-2012. John was not only a fellow veteran but a friend. It is my hope of establishing a memorial college scholarship in John's memory.  The money raised will be put into the Lawrence county, Tn. Education foundation account and earmarked for the Sgt John Toombs memorial scholarship fund. I will withdraw the funds and deposit it into the memorial scholarship fund. I hope to award the First scholarship to a 2017 graduating senior this May. Thank you for any help that you can provide.
