Sgt Cruz Memorial/Eva College Fund

As some of you already know, Jose Enrique Cruz III passed away at his home in Exeter, PA on January 29th, 2017. He was 6 year veteran of the United States Marine Corps and a 1 year veteran of the Reading Police Department.
He spent most of his life in Warrington, PA just outside of North Philadelphia. In his early 20’s he enlisted in the United States Marine Corps Reserve to serve his country honorably with Bridge Company B, 6th ESB/4th MLG, ultimately attaining the rank of Sergeant . Late in 2014 he attended a Police Training Academy and was hired by Reading Police Department shortly thereafter. Above all, he was the most loving and best father he could be to his 3 year old daughter Eva. He was and will be known as an outstanding Marine, Police Officer, Brother and Father. This is most certainly, a very tragic loss for all who knew him.
In the darkness that surround these times, all of his extended family, military family and police family want to contribute in any way they can, even if they cannot be there in person. As a representative of his extended family, we are asking for donations to start a college fund for his daughter, Eva. Let us help Sgt. Jose Cruz’ family by allowing them to spend their valuable time with him without any other unnecessary distractions. Please consider donating what you can.
