Running for Canine Cancer

Tax deductible
Our 10 Year old Boston Terrier Manny was diagnosed with brain cancer this past December after having some seizures.  Manny sadly lost his fight in May.

My husband and I are running a 10mile race in Stowe, Vermont in November and decided to raise money for canine cancer research.
We chose the Puppy Up Foundation.  Cancer has touched our lives in both the humans in our life as well as our canine family members.  The Puppy Up Foundation is committed to discovering the common links between canine and human cancers and the causes of these cancers through comparative oncology research.   Like people, companion animals develop cancer – they get brain, breast, bone & lung cancer; lymphoma and melanoma just to name a few and scientists have discovered that the malignant cells are biologically comparable.

Furthermore dogs are exposed to the same environmental risks so if we hope to eradicate cancer there is tremendous potential in forming a partnership between pets and people.

Please help us by supporting Team Manny and Puppy Up.  We started race training and nothing about it will be easy but it's nothing compared to the fight cancer brings to us and our pets. Keep us motivated by driving this dollar amount up between now and November 4th!

This run is for Manny,  an angel looking down on us, and for all the other dogs fighting right now for more time with their families!

We thank you so much!!!
