Help Jes Beat Colon Cancer

This is still early in my wife's fight with colon cancer. We're just a few weeks in and she is scared. They don't know whether the cancer is stage 2 or 3 yet. They don't know whether they want to start with surgery or chemotherapy. She's afraid of the possible side effects from chemo almost as much as she is afraid of dying from cancer.

She feels so drained all the time, and is having trouble holding on to hope. We don't know how we are going to pay for this. We don't have insurance. We've filed for assistance, but that's still not going to be enough even if we get approved. We already have bills for her colonoscopy and CT scan, and it's just getting started.

Every trip to the doctor's is that much more gas we wouldn't normally be buying. Every day that I take off work to go with Jes to her appointments is another day that I'm not bringing in the money we desperately need. Every scan or test they need to run, the surgery that will remove her cancer, and the recovery time in the hospital, and any medication she needs are all bills that are looming on our horizon.

I am posting this through my wife's Facebook because I want it to get to the right people. This is a way that you can get involved. We don't know how much this will cost by the time that she has beaten this cancer that has invaded her whole life. We're putting everything we have into it. Give what you can.
