Service for David Russell Gorby Jr.

Update: The cost of the funeral services are very generously being covered by the family of David. Any and all donations given will be used in full toward the Gorby kids.

On January 4th, 2017, David Russell Gorby Jr., 40, passed away after a longtime battle with addiction. David is survived by his three children, Alexus Gorby, 22, David Russell Gorby III, 12, and Daniel Rodrick Gorby, 10, of Plain Township.

Heidi and David share their oldest child, Alexus. In the summer of 2016, Davey and Danny, David's boys from his current marriage, were placed in foster care, pending the arrest of both of their parents. Heidi and her youngest, Brianna Roush, opened their home and were able to gain custody of the boys. It's been a long journey, but Heidi is an amazing mother, a dedicated friend, and so full of love and empathy, she has improved their lives in so many ways. The news of David's passing has come as a shock, and has devastated the kids, who were looking forward to seeing him well, and back to being their fun-loving, quit-witted father.

When I heard the news, I knew I had to do anything I could to help this woman who has made such an impact on my life, and on anyone who is blessed to know her. Please help me help my friend, she has worked so much and so hard to keep the family together, and funeral arrangements are overwhelming enough as it is. All of the proceeds will be used for the funeral service, and any additional donations will be spent on behalf the Gorby children.
